Ayurveda - ‘The Science Of Life’

To summarise a brilliantly vibrant source of ancient wisdom - Ayurveda is a School of thought and traditional system of medicine that originated in India over 5000 years ago. It encapsulates the connectedness of mind, body, soul and is not only a beautiful way of life, but also a system of medicine that can both heal and prevent illness in the future too. Clinical Ayurvedic medicine understands your individual genetic constitutions, taking into account your Dosha, lifestyle and past experiences to create an holistic understanding of your health which allows the creation of an informed, in depth treatment plan. This will be unique to the individual and ranges from the following healing modalities: Herbal medicine prescriptions, lifestyle changes and Ayurvedic Nutritional Medicine.

It is with deep respect and reverence that we share this practice, with each of us gaining a Level 4 diploma in Clinical Ayurvedic Medicine with the promise of commitment to a lifetime of further study and continued learning of this school of ancient wisdom.

We have respectively specialised in the areas of musculoskeletal health and women’s health, on top of the ability to support a range of common ailments.

Increasingly, we’re living in a world that demands expectations of our bodies that we cannot live up to without consequence. On an evolutionary level, our bodies are not yet designed for the fast paced, high pressure environments that we are constantly accessible and exposed to. On top of this, food and medicine are becoming increasingly harmful when not harnessed to their potential for good and healing. It is partly because of this that we are seeing epidemics of poor health on a mental, spiritual and physical level.

Many are struggling with the belief that there is nowhere else to look beyond the western medical system. We believe that that is where Ayurvedic medicine can come in to support you.

Our bodies are ever fluctuating beings, with an inconceivably brilliant hardwired inner intelligence system that is constantly seeking homeostasis - our world is consistently throwing this balance out of whack. At its core Ayurveda - ‘the science of life’ aims to return you to equilibrium and to realiven your inner intelligence systems to return to a state of self-healing.

Through working together we aim to return you to this state of homeostais,  self-healing and complete vitality (mind, body, soul). We do so as seeing you as a whole, unique being guided by the Ayurvedic framework of doshas and specific genetic constitutions. We look at your life, your history, your symptoms and struggles to create a holistic picture of you.  Together we then create a holistic, individualised plan of deep, sustainable care. Care that addresses the root causes of symptoms, with gentle, sustainable support and treatment plans. This often looks like a combination of soothing, realistic (dependant on your capacity) lifestyle changes, alongside herbal medicine prescriptions.

The Clinical Ayurvedic medicine we share is potent, research based healing. We use modalities which range from tinctures, herbal teas, herbal ointments, herbal powders, bodywork, yoga, meditation, breathwork and also Ayurvedic Nutrition and daily rhythm shifts.

This is a precise, individualised, holistic form of medicine. We understand you as a unique individual and create a considered, powerful, evidence based healing regime accordingly.

We support you on a cellular level, nourishing every part of your being - from your nervous system, to immune system, to physical body;  we take care of your overall health returning your body to a state of equilibrium and then turning our focus towards maintaining equilibrium and preventative medicine. We hope to re-inspire any lost sense of autonomy in your health, with practices that promote vitality and reduce the risks of developing disease (dis - ease) later on in life. Our bodies hold the score and this form of medicine supports the scorecard for later on in life beyond immediate remedy relief for current symptoms/struggles.

Please find below a list of common ailments that we are able to support you with & please do reach out for a more comprehensive understanding of how Ayurveda may be able to support you if your symptoms/ailments are not listed below. We can also work together on general vitality and preventative medicine without any symptoms present too.
